About us
Established in 1985, KGM Architectural Lighting is a lighting design firm in Los Angeles, New York City and Atlanta working with many market sectors worldwide. KGM approaches each project as a collaborative effort involving the other members of the design team and encouraging creative lighting solutions. This is accomplished by fully understanding the architectural concepts and design criteria, evaluating various possible design solutions, and ultimately developing the lighting scheme that makes the most sense. Light is known to be an emotionally stirring medium, capable of dynamically transforming a daytime environment into an evening icon. It is in this spirit that KGM pursues the goal of creating memorable moments, unique experiences, places that look and feel wonderful.

Nice article on our lastest collaboration with Gehry Partners, LLP: Warner Bros' new headquarters in Burbank, California. Illuminating glass is rarely easy and this project required a careful approach to give the "icy white" forms an evening presense on the 134 Freeway. We used tunable white uplights and linear LEDs behind the roof parapet to create a solid reading of the "crystalline glass forms" at night. https://lnkd.in/dG_JZpgG #architecture #lightingdesign
