❓Safe roads promised in 2029. And what about now❓ The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA finalized a new safety standard making automatic emergency braking (AEB) standard in all passenger cars and light trucks by September 2029. AEB systems are expected to reduce rear-end and pedestrian crashes, saving at least 360 lives and preventing at least 24,000 injuries annually. The standard requires AEB to be effective up to 62 mph for vehicle-to-vehicle scenarios and detect pedestrians in daylight and darkness. The good news is that you don’t have to wait 5 years to secure your vehicles from traffic accidents. And it doesn’t matter whether you own a car, truck, or bus. The solution described below is universal. For a few years already, KLOUDIP has been providing ADAS to businesses globally. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems enhance vehicle safety and driver behavior. Our systems use cameras and sensors to collect information about the vehicle's surroundings, provide real-time feedback, and alert the driver if something happens. Some key features of ADAS include lane departure warning, blind spot detection, forward collision warning, driver distraction, and many more. As a result fleet owners get benefits far beyond the price. ✅ Improved safety. ADAS helps prevent accidents by providing drivers with timely warnings and assistance in critical situations. ✅ Reduced stress. By assisting with tasks like lane-keeping and controlling blind spots, ADAS can reduce driver fatigue and stress. Considering the driver shortage in the market,  ✅ Increased profitability. By helping to prevent accidents and collisions, ADAS reduces the need for costly spare parts and repair works and minimizes vehicle downtime that can lead to lost revenue. Additionally, ADAS can help mitigate the risk of lawsuits with insurers and liability claims, further contributing to improved profitability. Overall, ADAS can provide significant cost savings and efficiency improvements for fleet operators and vehicle owners, contributing to improved profitability in the long run. ⚕ Medtechintelligence released an article describing the role of IoT in enhancing accuracy and efficiency in the healthcare sector. The article emphasizes how IoT promises to address issues of errors in laboratory equipment caused by human error and environmental factors. Among the benefits of IoT implementation, the author names: ✅ IoT sensors collect the performance parameters of medical equipment and the environmental parameters of medical facilities and automatically adjust those to the standards of the medical facility; ✅ Automated data collection and entry eliminates human errors, saves the time of healthcare professionals, and allows them to shift focus to high-impact tasks; ✅ Unlike humans, IoT-connected lab equipment is unbiased in data collection and interpretation, resulting in more precise diagnoses and drug development. Among the most prospective implementation areas, the author names: ✅ Medical Device Industry: IoT facilitates reliable testing of precision medical devices and allows for remote patient monitoring, leading to proactive treatment administration and faster recovery. ✅ Digital Health and Pharma: IoT enables comprehensive medical data collection, leading to more targeted clinical trials and personalized healthcare solutions. ✅ Diagnostic and Regulatory Compliance: Real-time insights from IoT devices aid in equipment monitoring, preventive maintenance, and compliance with regulatory frameworks, ultimately improving lab performance and efficiency. KLOUDIP has already implemented several IoT projects in healthcare and should admit the author is right. IoT brings value and this is how: 💊 First, we equip catheterization labs with temperature and humidity sensors to ensure the equipment works under labeled conditions – 40-60% humidity at 20-25 ℃. Thus, we ensure that if something happens, hospitals can provide evidence of proper equipment handling and the warranty will apply. Among other results, we minimized downtimes, reduced maintenance costs, and extended medical equipment lifecycles. 💊 Second, we implement environment monitoring in vehicles transporting heat-sensitive medicines. As a result, we eliminated the cases of pharmaceutical spoilage. Plus, we ensure that both the producers and recipients can trace the conditions from the plant through storage to sales points to ensure customers get quality medicines at all times. 💊Third, we don’t track vital signs, but we implemented an IoT-based nurse response system in one of the hospitals, allowing us to track the time needed for medical staff to reach the patient in the case of an emergency. As a result, we improved the reaction time, raised patient satisfaction levels, and ensured proper workload distribution across the hospital. Have an idea of IoT implementation in your healthcare organization? Let us help with the project. American Journal of Transportation posted a summary of the INFORM’s 2024 study of IT in vehicle logistics. The key findings are: ❗ The vehicle logistics market is and will be growing;  ❗ TOP 3 priorities the companies have are: increase operational efficiency, react fast to deviations from the plan, make vehicle data transparent;  ❗ 83% of companies already use specialized software applications, but only ❗ Only 11% are completely satisfied with their solution and 33% don’t consider their solution to be future-proof; ❗ Among those, who are not fully satisfied, 41% lack data analytics and reporting, and 40% want a web portal for communicating with partners. Again, KLOUDIP is ahead of the market with its EPORT platform satisfying both communication and analytics needs. A year ago, we expanded the concept of e-TMS for 3PLs and released the EPORT Delivery Ecosystem, where fleet owners and managers, cargo owners, and logistics companies cooperate for more efficient logistics: ✅  Fleet owners add vehicles, drivers, and helpers to the system and make them available to 2PLs. ✅  Fleet managers, or 2PLs, supply fleets from various owners to 3PL and 4PL organizations. ✅  Cargo owners, or 1PLs, find logistics partners, and create and track delivery orders. ✅  Logistics companies, or 3PLs,  receive delivery orders, assign them to vehicles, manage trips, and generate shipping documents. ✅  There’s also a 4PL access level for Large organizations with 1PL sub-units that work with multiple 3PL companies and cooperate directly with 2PL providers. It allows for managing full-chain logistics under one account. All these users interact within a single platform and without a single call. Most of the actions in the system are automated, including delivery tracking, document flow, order distribution, and much more. In the end, logistics companies can access the analytics dashboard, showing how efficiently the company performs, including order statistics, trip data, and cost vs. revenue analysis. 📰 CDW released an article on how IoT enhances the retail supply chain, which is extremely important in times of disruptions. The authors name goods monitoring, streamlined shipping, and inventory management as the areas of improvement powered by IoT. KLOUDIP successfully implemented all the solutions above and attained success, which can be expressed in figures. And that’s what we’re going to do here. ✅ Goods monitoring The authors say that 11% of goods suffer damage in transit. They suggest addressing this problem with temperature and humidity sensors, which means they only concern temperature-sensitive goods. We can confirm that it’s the most widely implemented IoT solution in B2B, and it can bring significant savings. For example, KLOUDIP implemented a HAZER-based temperature monitoring solution for 50 refrigerated trucks belonging to a large ice cream producer. The company achieved 60% savings by preventing ice cream spoilage and decreased labor and transportation costs by 35%. But there’s more. To detect damage in transit, the company can install vibration sensors on cargo containers. KLOUDIP implemented the solution for a pharmaceutical company. It allowed the detection of damaged ampoules and refrigerated boxes before cargo acceptance, raising customers’ trust. But in most cases, the drivers took measures to reverse the damages immediately, which resulted in massive savings. ✅ Faster shipping The authors name IoT-based picking systems, allowing faster packing and shipping, and optimized routes. As we see today, even B2B customers expect Amazon-like delivery. But from our experience, they are more interested in transparency – they want to be notified of what’s happening with their orders at every stage. We achieve it with EPORT. EPORT notifies the senders and recipients when a vehicle heads towards the pick-up point, picks up the goods, starts the trip, arrives at the delivery point, and leaves it. Moreover, it generates optimum routes for fuel- and time-saving, shows vehicle movements in real-time, and optimizes transport loading so that it never travels half-empty. All that combined ensures faster and cost-efficient shipping, being a win-win situation for recipients and sends. ✅ Inventory management Here, the author names IoT-based picking systems, RFID-based inventory monitoring, and indoor goods location tracking. EPORT already offers automated goods loading and unloading detection based on RFID, relieving KLOUDIP’s customers from manual allocation of goods to warehouses. However, indoor goods location detection based on the HAZER IoT platform and ELA Innovation beacons is at the field testing stage. We expect its full-scale implementation within the next few months. It will streamline order picking in our customers' warehouses, accounting for 50% of fulfillment center operations and 55% of warehouse operating costs.
