Japanese display home showcases Earthwool® for superior thermal performance! Earthwool® unfaced batt insulation features in a new display home in Japan – and with its high thermal performance and easy installation, the builder plans to install them in future new builds and retrofits. In Japan, the Building Energy Efficiency Law has been revised to mandate insulation performance, introducing thermal performance levels 5-7. Specifically, all new residential and non-residential buildings must meet insulation performance level 4 from 2025, supporting the nation’s goal for carbon neutrality by 2050. The new standards also create more comfortable indoor air temperatures, reducing heating and cooling bills for residents and enhancing health and well-being. In Hachinohe City, Aomori, Raizu Real Estate selected Knauf Insulation’s Earthwool® unfaced batts to achieve insulation performance level 5 for their latest display home. ‘We needed high thermal insulation that could be installed without air gaps and could maintain airtightness,’ explained Raizu Real Estate’s representative. ‘Following positive feedback from clients on how warm and comfortable this house is with Knauf Insulation’s products, we’ve decided to use Earthwool® in our other projects.’ Watch full case study: https://hubs.li/Q02GGRJ_0 #Knaufinsulation #Japan #EnergyEfficiency #wallinsulation #CaseStudy

We were excited to take part in the Korea Timber Builder Festival 2024 (KTBF 2024)! This fantastic event, held last month at Suwon Messe, was a hotspot for everyone passionate about timber construction, eco-friendly buildings, and carbon neutrality. So, what happened at this event? We were delighted to showcase our ECOBATT products, which are A-grade and non-combustible eco-friendly insulation. And guess what? We're thrilled to announce that we were accredited the Korean Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and Eco-label certifications. A fantastic achievement for use of ECOBATT glasswool insulation in Timber buildings. Our time at KTBF 2024 was a big thumbs-up for us, reaffirming our dedication to leading the way with eco-friendly insulation solutions in the timber frame sector.
