Today, we recognize and appreciate our hard-working lineworkers at LPEA. Lineworkers are the backbone of our electric grid, braving dangerous conditions to keep the power flowing to our homes and businesses. Our lineworkers demonstrate dedication and commitment to our community every single day. Their tireless efforts often go unnoticed, but we know how essential they are to powering our lives. Join us in thanking the brave people who make up our LPEA linework teams. We are grateful for your service and proud to have you as part of the LPEA family. #LPEALineworkers #LineworkerAppreciationDay

We are so proud of Ethan!
CREA connected with Youth Leadership Council participant Ethan McGuinness from La Plata Electric Association at NRECA's Annual Meeting to hear about his experience at this year's #PowerXchange. "It's such an incredible experience getting to connect with different kids and professionals from all over the country and all over the world. I have met some wonderful people from Texas, Oregon, New York, and Maine... It's been a great educational opportunity to learn how rural electric co-ops are powering our world," shared McGuinness. It was the 2023 Washington D.C. Youth Tour that inspired Ethan to pursue a career in politics, public service, and history. "The Youth Tour trip changed my life. I now have a goal to attend Colorado State University to study political science," said McGuinness.
