The learning environment shapes a child’s entire learning journey. These spaces help with academics, social-emotional development, and building relationships. Your room’s arrangement, materials, and how you present them all affect learning, for both the children and you. My favorite thing about this webinar is the #earlychildhood teacher and coach voice highlighted on equal footing as the other panelists. Reminds me of my Hope Street Group days working on K-12 teacher voice. Register to hear their perspectives and how we can support their amazing, life changing day to day work with children. https://lnkd.in/e5WAHUcY

Language development IS wild! Mostly being around English-speaking adults, Liz's adorable baby will go from babbling potentially hundreds of phonemes to zeroing in on the 40-some in the English language within the very first year of life.
CHALLENGE: Can you hear the "nga" sound in my 2-month old's speech? My LENA Colleagues Kim Coulter and Krista taught me this "nga" sound that's not really present in English, but that babies still know how to make (even when only exposed to predominantly English-speaking adults). Language development is WILD, y'all! I love this work!
