Luminace continues to “harvest the sun” throughout the Mid-West as Community Solar markets continue to thrive! This most recent portfolio is located across the farmlands of Illinois and is comprised of 5 total sites which creates a total capacity of approximately 15MW DC, the vast majority of which are currently nearly complete and have already achieved, or are expected to receive, permission-to-operate from the utility by the August. It is our latest example of the execution value that Luminace continues to bring to our development partners and local communities across the Country.  We worked with Cenergy Power on this portfolio, which acted as the EPC contractor and Development partner, and who remains a valued year-over-year channel partner with the Luminace Team. Luminace and its valued contractors are in the final stages of construction on Community Solar projects which are sited on a recently capped landfill in the Township of Berkeley in Somerset County, New Jersey. The solar projects consist of two sites, each with a generating capacity of approximately 5 MW (DC). These sites are interconnected and supported by the local utility Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L). There is one SMA inverter supporting 10,300 Hanwha 485 W bi-facial solar modules mounted on a ballasted fixed 25-degree tilt Terrasmart RBI GLIDE WAVE Racking system for each site. These solar projects are part of New Jersey’s Community Solar Energy Program under the Clean Energy Program administered by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. Luminace looks forward to expanding its Community Solar footprint in New Jersey as additional capacity continues to be released under the state’s Clean Energy Program this year!

Luminace has been busy adding to our growing Community Solar portfolio in New York!  We partnered with local developer and EPC partner Active Solar Development, LLC. to complete construction and achieve commercial operation on this 2-site portfolio that has a total capacity of approximately 13,000 kW DC. These projects located in upstate New York are comprised of over 26,000 Hanwha bifacial modules on a fixed-tilt racking system. The energy produced by these photovoltaic systems will benefit the local community and its subscribing residents who participate in the community solar program called Community Distributed Generation, in coordination with the utility National Grid and NYSERDA. Luminace is pleased to announce the latest in our Customer Spotlight Series…   The City of Long Beach portfolio consists of approximately 6.1MW of solar carport structures installed across facilities including the East Division Police Station, the Aquarium of the Pacific, and the Long Beach Airport to name a few. The city has been a true collaborator in working together to bring the projects to fruition, specifically working with the Luminace team and our contractors through the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic to continue to advance the projects!   The Portfolio features one of the first solar carport projects to be installed atop an existing City-owned parking structure in California. A ribbon cutting ceremony is in development and will be announced soon to celebrate the City’s sustainability efforts and adoption of their Solar Energy Solutions portfolio.
