Thank you to our friends at the Western New York Parrot Heads! We were honored to attend this year's Phlocking Event and Club Birthday Party, where the Parrot Heads presented a $11,000 donation from funds raised at their Meat Raffle in April! Their dedication to "party with a purpose" truly shines through - we cannot thank the Parrot Heads enough! Make-A-Wish Western New York is proud to be part of a community that rallies for wish kids. About us
People like you help Make-A-Wish® bring lasting, positive change into the lives of critically-ill kids. Your support makes it possible for us to grant their wishes, giving them a reason to stay strong through often difficult treatments and to believe in the promise of a better future. You give them hope and the strength to fight. Though we grant a wish every 35 minutes in the United States, we need to grant a wish every 18 minutes to serve every eligible child. Every single person who supports us by donating, volunteering or referring a child can be part of our mission. Find out more at metrony.wish.org. or wny.wish.org Why Make-A-Wish? Because wishes are more than just a nice thing. They are far more than gifts or singular moments in time. Wishes transform lives and make life better for children and their families. It's a simple but powerful belief that drives every single thing we do.

From his wish day to his high school graduation, Kaleolani is taking the world by storm. In 2023, Kaleolani wished to spend a day at the United Nations Headquarters, envisioning himself as a great leader. Now, as a 2024 graduate, Kale is UCLA-bound and graduated 2nd in his high school class of 737 students—all while undergoing treatment. Kaleolani's mom credits Make-A-Wish as being his cheerleader and support squad, but we know that it was Kaleolani's resilience that got him here. Wishes encourage children battling critical illnesses to look forward and plan for their future! You can help make dreams a reality for wish kids like Kaleolani by visiting https://bit.ly/3zvU7VB.

"The thing about Make-A-Wish and why it's such an inclusive organization is that there is only one criterion for a wish: battling a critical illness. All kids just want to be seen and loved. It's the same thing for the LGBTQ+ community: to be seen, heard, respected, and valued." - Rob, Junior Board Member Rob Ryan Ellington Nuzzo As well as sitting on our Junior Board, Rob is a wish uncle, volunteer, father, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. For Rob, #Pride is all about embracing your own identity so that you can better lift up the people around you. "It felt so liberating to take off the veil and self-filter I had. I started showing more positive energy, and that energy attracted other people's energy. It gives people the permission to be their true selves." To his own daughter, Rob encourages her to "dance like no one is watching," always encouraging her to stay true to herself and never quiet her voice. Wishes give kids the same feeling - they allow our wish kids to feel empowered. This #PrideMonth, join Rob in granting wishes for EVERY eligible child by visiting https://bit.ly/3xiDvAd. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
