Did you know that 65% of women report their workplaces lack menopause accommodations? It's time we change that. According to a *Biote survey, over 87% of women haven't spoken to their employers about their menopause symptoms, primarily due to stigma and lack of support. This silence comes at a cost. The 2023 Mayo Clinic report estimates that inadequate support and missed work days due to menopause symptoms lead to an annual economic loss of $1.8 billion in the U.S. alone. At MiDOViA, we believe every workplace should be menopause-friendly. Our Menopause Friendly Membership and Accreditation program is designed to create supportive, understanding environments where women can thrive. Join us in breaking the stigma and fostering workplaces where every woman feels supported. Following four years of breaking the taboo of menopause at work, employers began applying for The Menopause Friendly Accreditation in 2021 in the UK.  The mark of excellence for menopause at work, nearly 100 employers large and small across all industries have achieved accreditation as a Menopause Friendly Employer. Much more than a tickbox, promise or pledge, employers that achieve accreditation have demonstrated to The Menopause Friendly Independent Panel of experts that their organization actively supports menopause at work across five accreditation pillars. We are incredibly honored to bring this highly respected accreditation to the US. Do you want to learn more about what it means to be menopause friendly, how your organization can benefit or how we can help? Or maybe you’re ready to take advantage of our Founding Menopause Friendly membership offer ahead of launch in Fall 2024? Either way, we’d love to chat with you. Culture doesn’t change overnight. It’s not a one-and-done deal. Transforming organizational culture takes time, consistent effort, and the engagement of everyone at all levels. This is especially true when addressing important topics like menopause in the workplace. From top leadership to every individual team member, each person plays a crucial role in driving and sustaining this change. Repetition is key. Whether it's through ongoing communication, regular training, or reinforcing new behaviors and values, culture shift requires persistent action and commitment. Addressing menopause openly and supportively in the workplace is not just about policy changes; it's about creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels understood and valued. This meaningful change is a journey, not a destination. #OrganizationalCulture #ChangeManagement #Leadership #TeamEngagement #MenopauseMatters #InclusiveWorkplace #ContinuousImprovement #MenopauseInTheWorkplace

According to a recent Bank of America Lifestage report, 81% of surveyed women expressed a strong demand for improved education about menopause—from before its onset, through its duration, and afterward. Offering education and resources to employees not only enhances retention rates but also yields significant cost savings for organizations. Menopause is estimated to cause $1.8 billion in annual lost work time in the U.S., a figure that climbs to $26.6 billion when factoring in medical expenses. Empowering women through education on menopause isn't just about support—it's about fostering healthier workplaces. Let's drive positive change together.

Recent studies and surveys have investigated the barriers women encounter at work due to menopause-related symptoms and the financial impact on businesses. Issues such as insomnia, anxiety, hot flashes, mood swings, and other health symptoms can substantially affect a woman's performance. Key findings include: - Menopause's global impact on productivity costs businesses over $150 billion annually. - In the U.S. alone, lost work time due to menopause is estimated to cost organizations $1.8 billion each year. - About 75-80% of women experience menopause symptoms, with less than 10% receiving adequate treatment. - 13% of women have reported experiencing at least one adverse work outcome due to menopause symptoms in the past year. To better support women facing these challenges, it's crucial to create programs that not only raise awareness but also assist organizations in fostering menopause-friendly environments where both employees and managers receive support. We are thrilled to introduce our Menopause Friendly Membership and Accreditation in collaboration with Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace. Our program has been rigorously tested and trusted in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, partnering with leading organizations worldwide and earning a reputation as the industry-leading mark of excellence for menopause in the workplace. We invite organizations committed to attracting and retaining female talent and promoting their advancement to join us in this initiative. https://lnkd.in/gnFrzBNW
