The 3rd MCE Blue Value™ Day was held on June 5 for the purpose of contributing to the local community & our environment and fostering the solidarity of MCE members (one team) by cross- functional collaboration. About 55 MCE members and their families gathered at MCE office and could collect a total of 181 kg garbage in about 2 hours of cleanup activities with the cooperation of the Duesseldorf Environmental Protection. As a reward for the voluntary work of the participants, freshly made food from a regional food manufacturer and cool drinks were provided in the heart of Düsseldorf city (Hofgarten). We have a clear winner! Unlike most lenses that block High Energy Visible (HEV) light using a coating on the lens surface, our UV+420cut™ technology controls the dye dispersed in the lens material. This allows us to produce lenses that effectively block high-energy light while maintaining a clear and aesthetically pleasing appearance. These lenses provide clear visibility and look great, too. The UV+420cut™ is made using the same high refractive index optical materials used for the MR™ series. The MR™ series was developed using a unique monomer polymerization process to create optical materials with a high refractive index, high Abbe number, low specific gravity, and high impact resistance. A high refractive index means that the lenses can be lighter and thinner at a given lens power. Additionally, the material has the strength required for ophthalmic lenses and has good fabrication properties, making it ideal for rimless frames and high-curve lenses.
