Ignore people who tell you to do things their way. Love - as I define it - is what you’re willing to sacrifice to keep something. You just need to decide which one you love more. Your dreams or their approval. You sacrifice one for the other.

In a matter of 18 months, I got arrested about six times. I was so stupid... I was partying one day, and I got arrested. They brought me back to my dad's house, my parents sat me down, and I was expecting them to yell at me. My dad looked at me and said: "I'm just really afraid you're gonna die. What's gonna happen if you continue for the next five years to do that?" I snapped and went into complete self-development mode. I got in shape, got my grades on track, & cut out most of my friends who loved partying and drinking. I told myself then (at 19 years old): "Nobody's going to give you a handout. Nobody's changing your life for you. Nobody's taking action for you. Nobody's coming to save you." I think it was that realization that propelled me forward to get out of that mess. --- What was your turning point?

Launch the business. Ask the girl. Run the ad. Quit the job. Take the risk. Shoot the shot. When you’re 85 years old and on your deathbed, you’re not gonna wish you had fewer crazy stories.

Welcome to the team Gilbert N.! Paul, if you had to pick 3 sci-fi shows for life what would they be? (This question is open to all)
Please join us in welcoming our new (additional) Director of Marketing: Gilbert N.! Gilbert (or Paul as he typically goes by) is a remarkable addition to Acquisition.com. Paul is not your typical marketer; he is a data wizard! With a keen eye for trends and an analytical mind, he transforms raw data into strategic gold. When not at work or spending time with his family, you'll find him either catching waves at his favorite surfing spot or crafting innovative creations with 3D printing. We are so thankful to have you on the team Paul!

Have you ever offered to work for someone for free to learn?
Day Job: I invest and scale companies at Acquisition.com | Co-Owner, Skool.com Side Hustle: I make free content showing how we do it ⬇️
I’ve said that you should offer to work for free for someone to learn from them. Two caveats: 1) Go for someone 1-2 steps ahead of you, not 20. Elon musk doesn’t need someone getting his coffee. 2) Don’t offer to do stuff for free. DO IT. Don’t ask “how can I provide value?” ^It’s now costing me time to try and figure out a way for you to provide value to me. Be an adult. Do your homework. Figure out what you can do. Then DO IT. And expect that the person won’t care. Then keep doing it. And if it’s good, they’ll give you a shot. You gotta remember - you’re the one with everything to gain here. Low skilled labor is not in short supply. And training people is expensive. So - if you want someone further ahead to give you a hand, give them something they’d wanna stick out their hand for. And if no one is taking you up on your offer, you’ve gotta make it better. Simple as that.
