Naval Aviation readiness today and tomorrow at the best possible cost
About us
The NAE is a military organization but it is not one command. It is the coming together of all Naval Aviation commands—and their partners— committed to active participation to drive readiness for the high end-fight. The NAE is cross-functional, transparent, accountable and committed to active participation to facilitate and align resources and processes to improve Naval Aviation readiness levels. The NAE ensures the effective management of critical readiness stakeholders across Naval Aviation, directly supporting the successful delivery of combat-ready forces while advancing future warfighting capabilities at the best possible cost. NAE leadership is committed to these principles that act as a guide for everyday decisions: Concentrate efforts on producing required readiness while sustaining Fleet wholeness and improving efficiency. Exercise a bias for action. Drive systemically cross-functional, cross-command practices. Apply disciplined, process-driven, analytic methodologies. Understand the Single Fleet Driven Metric: Naval Aviation forces ready for tasking in the numbers required to meet Navy and Marine Corps readiness and warfighting requirements. Use consistent, integrated and hierarchical metrics focused on Fleet readiness and sustainment. Ensure full and consistent transparency of data, information and activities. Establish and maintain accountability for actions and results. Commit to active participation. Enterprise efforts are guided by the NAE Charter, which defines supported/supporting relationships within the Enterprise and emphasizes the NAE's focus on generating warfighting readiness.

Around the Command | Yesterday, a CH-53K King Stallion operated by @MarineOperationalTestandEvaluationSquadronOne(VMX-1) transported an F-35C Lightning II from #NAWCAD Patuxent River to its site at Lakehurst. The inoperable aircraft arrived to our Prototype, Manufacturing and Test Department for use in future tests of emergency recovery systems. #BravoZulu to the many partners who played a role in the success of the mission! A special shout out to our own including @VX-20, @VX-23, and our Cargo Lab.
