Our community is greater together! We are thankful to partner with United Way of Palm Beach County as the drop-off location for their book drive for another year. We appreciate our volunteers for counting, sorting, and packing over 12,000 books for our Palm Beach County children! It takes a village.

✨ Volunteer Spotlight: Mother-Daughter Duo, Hannah & Vivian! ✨ For the past four years, Hannah and Vivian have shared their passion for giving back by volunteering with the Food Bank. Hannah started volunteering as a college student. This inspired Vivian to join. “We have a skill that we can give to the Food Bank. It’s rewarding,” shares Vivian. This dynamic duo is an invaluable part of the team supporting us with administrative work and more. Hannah reflected, “You don’t think about how people need food where you think everybody is affluent. We notice how many partner agencies exist when we do the filing.” Vivian found that wearing her volunteer shirt makes her a Palm Beach County Food Bank ambassador, offering help and information to people out in public. Hannah organized food drives at her university to bring about awareness and collect much-needed food for our Partner Marketplace. We are grateful for all you do! Thank you for lending a helping hand to our neighbors in need. 💚

Hunger doesn't take a summer break and neither do our June food drive hosts! Our supporters are truly amazing! Our FIRST 300 meals were made in our new Community Kitchen and they went out for delivery today! The Summer Feeding initiative to provide children meals is in full swing through our partnership with FLIPANY. This is only the beginning of the transformative resource that is our Community Kitchen and expansion. Once the kitchen runs at full capacity we will cook up 10,000 meals a day! Together, we nourish. 🎆 Palm Beach County Food Bank wishes our community a happy, safe, and colorful Independence Day! In observance of Independence Day, our facility will close on ❤️ Thursday, July 4th 🤍 Friday, July 5th 💙 Regular operations will resume Monday, July 8th, at 8:30 am.

🙅♂️ 🥦 Last month, Liz Cabral, our Director of Programs, attended The National Anti-Hunger Conference sponsored by FRAC (Food Research & Action Center), in cooperation with the National CACFP Forum, in Washington, D.C. She was joined by Kathleen Mason and Julie Kreafle of United Way of Palm Beach County Florida Impact The School District of Palm Beach County Blue Zones Project Poverty Solutions Group, Inc The conference shares that over a thousand anti-hunger advocates joined from across the country to attend content-rich sessions, learn legislative best practices, explore innovative advocacy methods, and form personal connections to help better fight hunger in their communities.
