AWARDS OF DISTINCTION- 2024 Frist Humanitarian Employee Award Winner We were thrilled to celebrate humanitarians and excellence in nursing with our Awards of Distinction ceremony during Hospital Week on May 23, 2024. These awards are the organization’s highest honors, spotlighting some of our finest colleagues and volunteers who, together, bring our mission and values to life every day. HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is proud to announce that our 2024 Frist Humanitarian Employee Award Winner recipient is Dawn Ayers, our Health Information Management Coordinator. Dawn is an integral piece to the operations of Food4Kids, an organization that combats food insecurity in Alachua, Dixie, Levy and Bradford counties. When Dawn learned about this organization, she was eager to assist with child hunger in our communities. Since joining the team of seven with her expertise, the organization has grown from feeding 491 children in 30 schools to 1,700 children in 48 schools. According to the Executive Director of Food4Kids, the organization would not have experienced the growth it did without her. She helps budget costs to stretch each dollar as well as the nutritional values and variety for the children so they do not get bored of the same foods each week along with inventory management. Dawn is passionate and committed to helping the children in our community. She is an excellent representation of caring and compassion, and is highly deserving of the Frist Humanitarian Employee Award. Dawn embodies our mission each and every day, and we are proud to call her our 2024 Frist Humanitarian Employee Award recipient. Congratulations, Dawn!
