It’s International Self-Care Day, and it’s the perfect moment to discuss it with our teams. Self-care often takes a backseat when life gets too busy. However, self-care is crucial for employees to perform at their peak. Without it, tapping into their full potential becomes challenging, making self-care a necessity, not a luxury. Encouraging your people to take care of themselves empowers them to bring their best selves to work. So, what does promoting self-care look like? For starters, it’s not something you can simply throw a gym membership at. It starts with your company culture: ▪️ Normalize taking breaks and expect employees to do so. ▪️ Have mental health resources readily available. ▪️ Respect employees' personal time by setting boundaries around after-hours work and communication. ▪️Encourage employees to use their PTO time and not feel bad about it. Let’s not forget about ourselves, either. In HR, you’re prone to wearing many hats, and the job can be demanding yet very rewarding. Like your employees, you need self-care as well. It’s how you recharge, rejuvenate, and bring your A-game to everything you do. When you show up fully charged, your teams feel the difference, just as you feel the impact when they are at their best. Things to ask yourself: ▪️ How does your organization promote self-care? ▪️ Are there any particular self-care practices that have made a significant difference on your team? Share your thoughts and experiences; it’s great to hear from you. Who knows, your insights could inspire a more supportive and healthy workplace for someone else. Happy International Self-Care Day! #Human Resources #EmployeeWellbeing

Employee experience is often seen as a nebulous concept in HR. You hear about its significance and the remarkable results everyone else is experiencing, but it can be challenging to justify financially. However, research from PwC provides compelling evidence that investing in employee experience pays off beyond engagement and retention — it delivers tangible financial returns. PwC analyzed eleven factors of the employee experience, from well-being, training, and development opportunities to leadership and compensation. The results revealed that investments in all areas can lead to a 12.6% increase in annual savings through reduced absenteeism, resignations, and enhanced productivity. Before deciding where to put your resources, determine which areas you’re doing well in, need improvement, and which areas need an overhaul. Take some time to discover the path that’s right for your organization as it varies from company to company. This is a time for CFOs and HR leaders to come together. HR leaders can advise CFOs on the organization's strengths and weaknesses, and give CFOs a better view of what their people need to succeed. Are you ready to invest in enhancing your employee experience? You don’t have to go through the process alone. We can help you find your path to improving employee experience, and provide the technology to make it seamless. Contact us to get started. #EmployeeExperience #HumanResources

As we get further into the summer, many employees look forward to taking time off for a well-deserved vacation. However, you may not be aware they’re on a vacation. Quiet quitting may have been your main concern, but quiet vacationing is up next. Quiet vacationing is when employees secretly take time off while pretending to be active at work. They’re available on Slack and attend virtual meetings. They schedule emails and other messages to go out at specific times so you don’t notice something is off. According to a recent CNBC-Harris Poll, 37% of employees have taken time off without their employer’s knowledge. 31% even admitted to “moving their mouse” to maintain their online status. The reason why: 49% of employees say they get nervous asking for time off. Let’s normalize requesting vacation time so employees feel more comfortable. Managers and supervisors should take time off as well. Employees need to see management take a vacation or two every once in a while. Rest and relaxation allows us to rejuvenate, de-stress, and detach from work. No one should feel anxious or uncomfortable to ask for a few days of “me” time. It’s important to foster a company culture of open communication and employee well-being. Encourage employees to openly discuss their vacation plans and don’t forget to lead by example. #HumanResources #EmployeeExperience
