Fun Fact Friday! 🌟 Did you know Latina, Black, and Indigenous women are breaking barriers in STEM? Here’s why their representation matters: Latina, Black, and Indigenous women are underrepresented in STEM but are gradually increasing their share of STEM degrees. Meet the Leaders of STEM: Ayanna Howard, Lucia Gallardo, and Nicole Aunapa Mann. 🤖 💫 Ayanna Howard was involved in developing SmartNav — a next-generation Mars rover — and SnoMotes, robots that can explore icy terrain that is too dangerous for scientists. Howard has made significant contributions in the technology areas of AI, computer vision, and robotics. 🌍 🧠 Lucia Gallardo is the founder and CEO of Emerge, a company using emerging technology to help solve global issues. Gallardo has become one of the winners of the Latin American Innovators Under 35 from the MIT Technology Review LATAM edition. ⭐️ 🚀 Nicole Aunapa Mann made history when she became the first indigenous woman in space. Mann contributed to hundreds of experiments and technology demonstrations to prepare for human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit and to benefit life on Earth. Project Scientist is helping bridge these gaps by offering our programs in English and Spanish to marginalized and underserved communities across the United States and Monterrey, Mexico. Learn how you can support our work to empower more women in STEM fields! 💪 Visit projectscientist.org. #ProjectScientist #WomeninSTEM #DiversityinSTEM

Student Spotlight: Chloe Comeaux-Kelly! This month, we're thrilled to highlight Chloe Comeaux-Kelly, a remarkable student from our Summer STEAM lab, in collaboration with CoreLogic, Mr. Cooper Group, and the Irving Schools Foundation. Chloe impressed us all with her creativity and curiosity. She designed an amazing custom mask to filter out pollutants, complete with sparkles for a touch of glamor. Chloe's boundless energy and enthusiasm have made her a joy to work with. Her biggest role models are her teachers, and outside of school, she loves dance and gymnastics. When she grows up, Chloe aspires to work with CoreLogic. Look out, STEM industry—here she comes!

Earhart was the first woman vice president of the National Aeronautic Association, pioneering official records and races in aviation. 2. She designed a line of "functional" women's clothing, empowering women with practical fashion choices. 3. In her own words, "I want to do it because I want to do it. Women must try to do things as men have tried..." At Project Scientist, we're committed to empowering girls and women in STEM. We believe every girl deserves the chance to soar, pursue their STEM dreams, and lead with confidence. 🌟💪 #ProjectScientist #AmeliaEarhartDay #WomenInSTEM #Inspiration

Throwing it back to some of our FAVORITE moments from Summer STEAM Lab with CoreLogic, Mr. Cooper Group, and Irving Schools Foundation! 🌟 Our students had a BLAST with a ton of hands-on activities: from PCT taste strip testing and crafting clay/candy cell models to creating lung and stethoscope models, and designing air filter masks. They also embarked on exciting expeditions to the Irving ISD planetarium, visits to Mr. Cooper Group (focusing on cyber safety and vision boards), trips to CoreLogic, one of which had a delightful Barbie theme. #ProjectScientist #SummerCamp #STEAMEducation #GirlsinSTEM #Partners
