The New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA) has released a report and a new goal that asks the State to boost its distributed solar goal of 10 GW by 2030 to reach 20 GW by 2035. While utility solar lags in the state, community solar and rooftop solar are filling in and thriving. New York has about 3 GW of rooftop solar and nearly that amount of community solar. "Of New York’s current 5.8 GW of solar, 93% is rooftop and community solar, which NYSEIA counts as distributed solar." #DriveEnergyForward https://lnkd.in/dtpXpZm4

If that's you, you'll have three to five years of experience leading electrical interconnection and delivery strategies for our generation projects. You'll be responsible for overseeing interconnection processes, conducting pertinent studies, coordinating with utilities, managing project milestones, and guiding the initial engineering phases of solar, battery energy storage, and EV site projects across the United States.  In the immortal words of Mick Jagger, "You can't always get what you want, but you get what you need." Permitting reform is coming. Finally... "The Act is designed to shorten timelines, before, during, and after litigation on federal authorizations for energy and mineral projects. "The [bipartisan] bill establishes 150-day statute of limitations from the date of the final agency action on a project; requires courts to expedite review of legal challenges; and sets a 180-day deadline for federal agencies to act on remanded authorizations." If passed, it means fewer delays caused by lawsuits for both clean energy...and fossil fuel mining projects. That's why it's bipartisan. https://lnkd.in/gMf7K6pE
