“We looked around and other schools like us were cutting programs, laying faculty off, furloughing faculty … We are proud of the fact that we didn’t have to do any of that. Less and less young people are deciding on college … we’re having to work harder to prove the value of a college degree … and so we have to be able to respond and hopefully be proactive as well.” We love this quote from Dr. Nancy Bonner at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. ➡️ Learn about one of the ways UMHB is innovating to continue providing a quality education with a Christian worldview despite the headwinds facing #highered: https://lnkd.in/eBtPFW_a #CollegeontheRize #programsharing #innovationineducation #Christianhighered

After last week's global technology outage incident, it became more obvious than ever how critical and pervasive cybersecurity roles are in our increasingly digital world. ✈ That's why it's no surprise that by 2030, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a staggering 30% growth in security roles, far outpacing the average growth rate for other occupations. 📈 While other cybersecurity programs may cover the basics, Rize goes above and beyond to ensure students are prepared for the most in-demand roles in the industry. 🎓 In our program, students gain hands-on experience with SIEM tools like Splunk and ethical hacking tools like Kali Linux and explore emerging technologies like AI and blockchain. They learn to apply industry frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and MITRE ATT&CK. And they are well-prepared for certifications like CompTIA Security+ and Certified Ethical Hacker. 💻 Our program also includes a unique capstone where students focus on building a portfolio, preparing for industry-recognized certifications, and receive guidance on how to get a job in cybersecurity. 💼 ↗ Learn more about our Cybersecurity program and recent enhancements we've made: https://lnkd.in/eUsRE2jC

The Northeast may be one of the regions impacted most by the demographic cliff, but some small colleges are bucking the trends by honing in on their mission, identifying new ways to innovate, and further investing in the student experience. ⚡ St. John Fisher University is welcoming not only its largest first-year class to-date, but also "the most academically qualified and most diverse pool of applicants in its history" 👏 👏 👏 Nearby Roberts Wesleyan University recently launched 8❗ new career-oriented degree programs in high-demand fields. Laura Falco, dean of the School of Business and professor of marketing, emphasized student interest in the new programs, "We are hearing a lot of buzz." 👏 👏 👏 ➡ Read more about how these two colleges are innovating to drive increased enrollment: https://lnkd.in/eYUrEfZk

We're firm believers in the ✨magic✨ of the residential campus experience. Every time we visit one of our partners, that belief is reaffirmed. We recently visited Carlow University and were inspired by how much heart was in their campus community ☘️ and how deeply every leader cares about the success of each and every student. The small college campus experience is truly unique and we're proud to partner with schools like Carlow who deeply invest in their students. 📸 Caleb Lubarsky visiting with Frances Xavier Warde, American Founder of the Sisters of Mercy
