Kudos to Northwest Health Services, Inc and the St. Joe Public Library for this brilliant collaboration - healthcare in a library. Great quote from Matt Younger, CEO of Northwest Health Services: "The Downtown Library building has been in place for community engagement and education for over 120 years, so it's perfect for the transfer of health information." (The article below is filled with excellent quotes; well worth the read for some Aha! moments. Nice work, KQ2.) #adaptivereuse #publichealth #historicpreservation

BIG DAY for #historictaxcredits in #Missouri. Gov. Parson signed HB 2062 putting into law the program improvements that we've been working for years to secure. Streamlined process. Boosted credit outstate. All sorts of game changers in this bill. Thanks to our legislative champions, Jim Farrell our lobbyist with Historic Revitalization for Missouri, and everyone who gave time and energy to get this across the finish line.

Gotta love when you have team members with such unbridled enthusiasm for their jobs. Great work on the National Register nomination, Amanda! We've been nominating <50 year old buildings for over 20 years. Excited to add PoMo to the list. Status of the nomination for 100 East should be determined by the end of the year. #milwaukee #historicpreservation #nationalregisterofhistoricplaces
I am so excited to be able to share this! It's been an absolute pleasure to work on this project from the initial eligibility assessment through the nomination process. Being able to collaborate with the clients, local advocates, and SHPO has helped move the project along. I never thought I'd be so excited about a 1989 building, but this #Pomo gem won me over quickly. Keep your fingers crossed, but as Teddy Nykiel quoted me saying, I am hopeful! #preservation #htc #rehab #milwaukee https://lnkd.in/gQBaWR44

Helping clients navigate the historic tax credit process is something we not only excel at, but really enjoy doing. Especially when an underused building is being rehabbed for housing. We look forward to seeing Ruan Center reactivated in the near future! We were deeply saddened to learn of Caroline Wright's passing. It was obvious from our first meeting that she was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She had a beautiful "bedside manner" when talking with applicants, especially those who were taking on their first HTC project and somewhat skeptical about the process. She was firm and realistic without making the rules sound too scary. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Over the past several years we have been deeply involved with efforts to improve the Missouri Historic Tax Credit. After a frustrating end of session last year, we are thrilled to share both administrative and legislative changes to the program. The administrative changes go in to effect July 1, while the legislative changes go into effect on August 28. These are game changers! Let us know if you have questions - or a project - we can help you with. #historictaxcredits #historicbuildingreuse #adaptivereuse

This is an excellent - and candid - local view of being the owner of a historic property. Matt Gilhousen, president of the Walnut Street Co. development firm, talks about his decision to rehab the former Reuters Organ Company building in Lawrence, KS. "If we can do this safely, I’d rather be on the right side of history ... I wanted to see it through and ultimately, I didn’t want it to be torn down on my watch. I’m not the one who let it fall into neglect, but I made the decision to buy it, so I needed to see it through.” We love when a building owner sees the big picture in historic preservation, and we are thrilled to watch this project evolve. Great work Matt, Walnut Street, CT Design+Development, Rau Construction Company, and Bob D. Campbell & Company. #LawrenceKS #adaptivereuse #historictaxcredits
