We’re turning off our new AI features. Since 2022, AI has progressed really fast - moving from movie fiction into our daily lives. But it’s happened so quickly that internal security policies have struggled to keep up. It’s no secret that many see AI as a threat due to privacy concerns & a lack of regulation So we aren’t surprised that companies are approaching it with caution. To resolve this, ScreenCloud is introducing a toggle that can switch off all of our AI-powered features, for now. I suspect that soon, companies will struggle to split out AI features from their SaaS products as the two become more intertwined. But for now, it’s an easy fix that makes things easy for our clients whilst policies & agreements are updated. #ScreensThatCommunicate

We killed our original product. After 9 years of service, we finally switched off our original CMS, ScreenCloud Signage. 4 years ago, we stopped taking on new customers for ScreenCloud Signage & began migrating thousands of them over to ScreenCloud Studio. The process was long & painful, so for anybody planning to sunset a legacy platform, here are my 5 takeaways: 1. Automate as much as you can 2. Handhold the customer through the process 3. Provide clear communication in advance 4. Offer plenty of options to upgrade to more modern hardware 5. Release discounts to ease the pain You might find that even after all that, some customers are clinging to the old platform.
