We wanted to extend our gratitude to our Industry Sponsor Sponsors for our 2024 Cable-Tec Games. You contributions bring our industry together for these important events, support learning and development, and make a meaningful impact to our chapter. SCTE Rocky Mountain Chapter conducted the first virtual Symposium (entitled “Symposium in a Box”) in 2020 amid a global pandemic. The Rocky Mountain Chapter, led by President Larry Wolcott, needed to find ways to connect with our membership during this unprecedented time of uncertainty. Larry and his team created a unique event, with online webinars, engaging talks, interactive discussions to keep our membership connected to the chapter. The team also assembled hundreds of “goody boxes” with swag, food and other items which were shipped to our members homes to help celebrate the event. This event ultimately helped the chapter win numerous awards, including Chapter of the Year in 2020 (and again in 2021). #CableTecGames2024 #sctermc

We wanted to extend our gratitude to our Gold & Silver Sponsors for our 2024 Cable-Tec Games. You contributions bring our industry together for these important events, support learning and development, and make a meaningful impact to our chapter. The Rocky Mountain Meeting Group's first meeting with technical training was held on the University of Denver campus, and the topic was data communications. @RonHranac was one of that first meeting's speakers, using an overhead projector and transparencies to cover the basics of data: bits, bytes, baud, and more. #CableTecGames2024 #sctermc

Shameless plug: Here is a link to the recording of the livestream event I did with Brady Volpe on Friday, June 7, 2024. The topic is coaxial cable, and the recording is a bit more than an hour long. https://lnkd.in/eghkC2ud

We wanted to extend our gratitude to our Diamond Sponsors for our 2024 Cable-Tec Games. You contributions bring our industry together for these important events, support learning and development, and make a meaningful impact to our chapter. The Rocky Mountain Chapter has been around since the mid-1980s. It was founded as the Rocky Mountain Meeting Group in the 1984 timeframe (I don't remember the exact date) by Ron Hranac, Bruce Catter, Sally Kinsman, and Pete Smith. It took the Rocky Mountain Meeting Group a year or two to earn Chapter status. At the time, SCTE required meeting groups to set up a board of directors, elect officers, create bylaws, establish a bank account, hold a certain number of meetings and training seminars, etc., in order to be elevated from meeting group to chapter. RMC has been going strong ever since. #CableTecGames2024
