Seaside Community Charter School provides a rigorous, arts-integrated educational program guided by the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education that meets and exceeds the Florida State Standards. Seaside’s shared vision is to foster each student's intellectual, social, emotional and physical development in a nurturing, Waldorf-inspired public charter school setting that inspires deep learning, a sense of environmental stewardship, and an appreciation for all cultures, the arts, and the ever-changing world. At the heart of this approach is the recognition that curriculum and instruction must be presented to children in a way that fills them with wonder, reverence and enthusiasm. By teaching children to care for and respect their physical environment and the earth it instills global responsibility and promotes environmentally conscious living. If you make your way to the Jacksonville International Airport take a look at these handwork and art pieces made by students at our Beach campus. Every student in Kindergarten through 5th grade was represented in the wave, while 6th through 8th grade created the handwork and 2D art pieces. Thank you to Jacksonville International Airport for allowing Seaside to flood the walls with our students artwork. "I wanted to find a place where teaching the whole child was most important. A place in which the social emotional development as well as cognitive skills are equally important. I love coming to work every day knowing that Im making a true difference and that they are learning more than reading and math.
