What if every child had a family?
About us
Show Hope's mission is to care for orphans by engaging the Church and reducing barriers to adoption. We believe that each child has the inherent, God-given right to be a part of a loving, caring family. And while we are not all called to adopt, we are all called to do something. This week on the blog, Show Hope Executive Director Kristin Parks reflects on an essential question and invitation from the Lord and shares how this impacts our work at Show Hope. “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:13-14 You can read the blog at bit.ly/3YkgLLg!

#Throwback to the early days of Show Hope—and these fine folks who started it all! As Shaohannah’s Hope began to grow in the years following its founding, the Chapmans realized what began with their family had flourished into a movement beyond their earliest expectations. This prompted a more accessible (and easier to spell!) name for the organization in Show Hope!

So what exactly is TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®)? If you’ve been around here long, you may have heard us talk about TBRI! TBRI is an attachment-based approach for parents and caregivers to meet the relational and developmental needs of their children and teens in order to help them thrive and flourish. And in this clip from Hope for the Journey, Daren Jones from the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, gives us a great first look at TBRI. You can watch the full video over on our YouTube channel at bit.ly/4ctUTkJ! Stay tuned for more great content from Hope for the Journey by visiting https://lnkd.in/dv-yKva!
