The Next Step in Hardware Observability: Manufacturing 🚗 Our latest blog explores how Sift, founded by SpaceX veterans, is bringing a new level of data transparency to the automotive industry.🚀 https://lnkd.in/e6zjHkFV
About us
Machine development demands data. Constant, real-time information that gives the engineers continuous and accurate feedback. So instead of trial and error, it’s trial and measure. Learn. Improve. Progress. Building a telemetry system to do this is essential. For mission-critical machines helping people, the planet, our universe—it’s a beacon. But it’s also a barrier. It’s expensive. It’s complicated and it’s fraught with risk. The thrill of success is often tempered by the fear of failure. Sift puts power back into the hands of machine creators. With a software stack built by people who have literally put rockets into orbit—it’s a system that rejects old thinking and outdated paradigms. Sift doesn’t just handle telemetry, it makes it work harder. It allows machine creators to use data in ways they never imagined. Engineers and innovators can reach their goals faster. Companies can scale up larger. All in ways that are simpler, smarter, and more secure. Sift is real-time. It’s now. It’s no longer about what’s necessary. It’s about what’s possible.

At Sift, we envision a future where the barrier to world-changing hardware innovation isn't sensor data wrangling, but the limits of human ingenuity itself. Our Series A funding announced today will help us double down on that mission and scale our impact like never before. 🚀 We'd like to share our gratitude for the support of our investors, the trust of our customers, and the dedication of our team. Together, we'll continue building the most robust software for hardware companies — and enabling the next great leaps in machine innovation. 🙌 https://lnkd.in/gjGynREi

At Sift, we’re interested in making the machines of tomorrow a reality. After watching avoidable, software-based failures continually occur across numerous industries, Sift founders Karthik Gollapudi and Austin Spiegel joined forces to create the world’s first observability stack for hardware data. Sift puts power back into the hands of machine builders, enabling them to grow and scale faster and with greater accuracy. It’s a crucial piece of infrastructure if you want to explore new frontiers in space — or here on Earth. With the ability to access advanced tools, there is no limit to what we can do.

Yesterday marked a critical milestone for True Anomaly as we saw a successful launch and deployment of the first two #Jackal autonomous orbital vehicles (AOVs) via SpaceX’s Transporter-10 Rideshare mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Since then, our Mission Operations team has been working diligently to achieve test and checkout milestones for each spacecraft. Though initial telemetry from Jackal 1 indicated the vehicle was in a nominal state, we’ve been unable to verify if either Jackal is currently functional. There are many factors that contribute to checking out systems in low-Earth orbit in particular, and the team is working to gain more fidelity on the status of both vehicles. #MissionX

There are a number of ways you can invite risk into your hardware, as we’re seeing here with the latest developments on Boeing’s quality control failures. Relying on just a few employees to retain crucial knowledge creates unnecessary bottlenecks in your system, and burning them out with labor-intensive, manual processes exposes your vehicle to potential disaster. Sift mitigates risk and prevents burn out by capturing your institutional knowledge so it’s easy to access, share, and retain. With automated data review and standardized reporting, your engineers can focus on what they’re good at – building (and safeguarding) your machines.
