With two parents who were doctors, Dr. Krishna Patel practically grew up in the field of medicine. After medical school, she became interested in cardiology as a specialty, particularly cardiac imaging using PET. Dr. Patel regularly works with patients to monitor symptoms and diagnose various heart diseases. In fact, there are some heart conditions that are so difficult to visualize, that only specialty PET imaging like the technology Dr. Patel uses can diagnose them.
