We offer $30 therapy to college students (yes, it really is $30 and no, you don't need insurance).

About us

As college students ourselves, we've struggled to access quality therapy on campus. But why? The answer is simple. There just aren't enough therapists to match the demand. Well, why aren't there enough therapists? 57% of Master's-level graduates NEVER obtain licensure in the therapy industry. An overwhelming majority of potential therapists give up on their careers due to factors outside of their control: high costs, low compensation, overworking, internship struggles, lack of diversity, ... the list goes on. So where does Sol Health come in? (Okay jeez just let me explain) As the first mental health company dedicated to working with therapists at the earliest parts of their career, our mission is to tackle the college mental health crisis AND provide much-needed support for the next generation of mental health professionals, all at the same time. This is how we tackle the therapist shortage. This is how we can ACTUALLY improve accessibility to therapy. Interested in learning more? Reach out to us at contact@solhealth.co

"Then, last year, at the end of a long workday, I received an email from two Stanford students, Gun and Melinda. Probably a scam targeting eager-to-help, bleeding-heart therapists, I thought." We are thrilled to share a piece of our founding story from our Clinical Director, Dr. Nerina Garcia-Arcement, in the November issue of Psychology Networker. As a pioneer in the mental health landscape, Dr. Garcia-Arcement is leading Sol Health in improving the systems that train the next generation of mental health professionals. At Sol Health, we're excited to transform the therapist internship experience as well as provide the infrastructure in place for therapists who want to give back through supervision. In her piece, Dr. Garcia-Arcement shares the journey from her own days as an intern, to private practice and supervision, to when she became inspired by and joined forces with Melinda Gong and Gun Young Lim, co-founders of Sol Health. 📖 Read Dr. Garcia-Arcement's story here: https://lnkd.in/gjCs5sqY #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #startupjourney #digitalhealth #mentalhealthtech #stanford
