We’re excited to announce that Taskrabbit is renewing our partnership with Anthos|Home, a New York City-based organization that works to find permanent housing for homeless and at-risk New Yorkers through the housing voucher system. Over the last year, with the aid of a $10,000 grant from Taskrabbit for Good, Anthos has used Taskrabbit services to make 21 apartments move-in ready. These services include plumbing repair, furniture assembly, deep cleaning, and anything else necessary to turn an empty apartment into a home. Taskrabbit for Good has granted an additional $10,000 to support Anthos in their work over the next year. Learn more about Anthos|Home here: https://anthoshome.org/
About us
Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, such as furniture assembly, handyman work, moving help, and much more. Acquired by IKEA Group - the world’s largest furniture retailer - in 2017 At Taskrabbit, we want to make your neighborhood a little more familiar. Whether it’s a handyman (or woman!), a housecleaner, moving help or delivery person, we’re imagining a world where everyone will have a go-to team to make everyday life easier. As a company we celebrate innovation, inclusion and hard work. As a pioneer of the sharing economy, Taskrabbit was founded on the premise of neighbors helping neighbors. Since then, our network has grown to eight countries and 75+ cities, yet our core mission of creating a better everyday life for everyday people has remained the same. Together with IKEA, we’re creating more opportunities for people to earn a consistent, meaningful income on their own terms by building lasting relationships with clients in communities around the world. We are a group of mission-minded people. Our culture is collaborative, pragmatic, and fast-paced. We’re looking for talented, entrepreneurially-minded and data-driven people who also have a passion for helping people do what they love - and have a ton of fun while they’re at it.

Our analysis of completed jobs on the platform reveals that clients are increasingly prioritizing home projects that can help alleviate the heat: installing air conditioning, adding green space to indoor and outdoor areas, and building shaded structures in their yards, to name a few. At Taskrabbit, we celebrate Pride not just in June, but all year round by remembering how far the LGBTQIA+ community has come and the work still left to be done. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Our internal cultural affinity group, Queer at TR, has created a month of programming, including a volunteer opportunity in NYC and drag bingo with Marti Gould Cummings. Special thank you to Ashlee Jones (Senior Partner Manager) and Fred Braunstein (Senior Counsel) for planning these events! ❤️ Learn all about Pride and how you can support. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/e3-fSUqv

Last week, we celebrated the graduates of our sixth annual Taskrabbit YOUniversity class! Say hello to the Class of 2024! This group of 24 incredible individuals spent the past three months diving deeper into who they are, where they want to go in their careers, and how to give and receive feedback along the way. We are proud of all the Taskrabbit employees who have embarked on this journey and grateful for the incredible team that has run this internal Learning and Development Program for the past six years!
