Empower and improve the lives of people living with ALS to help them continue living productive and purposeful lives.
About us
Team Gleason, established by former NFL player Steve Gleason in 2011, is committed to empowering individuals with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) to lead purposeful lives. Despite facing his own ALS diagnosis, Steve exemplified resilience and determination, founding Team Gleason to enhance the lives of those impacted by this disease. At Team Gleason, our vision extends beyond survival; we aspire to create a world where individuals living with ALS have the resources and opportunities to thrive, fostering productivity, purpose, and meaning in their lives. Through the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, provision of essential equipment, and delivery of crucial care services, we strive to uplift the ALS community, nurturing a sense of dignity and purpose in every individual we serve. Since its inception, Team Gleason has emerged as a leading non-profit provider of equipment and technology for individuals with ALS nationwide. Our mission is clear: to directly support the ALS community by ensuring access to the tools and resources necessary for navigating life with ALS. Our mission is to improve life for people living with ALS and those who care for them by delivering innovative technology and equipment, as well as providing and empowering an improved life experience. "Until there is a cure, there is Team Gleason." We recognize and address the critical service gap in ALS care by providing essential support to patients and caregivers alike. With over $40 million invested in adventure, technology, equipment, and care services, we remain steadfast in our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.

Over the past 13 years, I've been documenting our journey with ALS. My aim has always been to see if we can discover peace, freedom, and a love of life, even in the midst of extreme adversity. Being recognized at The 2024 ESPYS is not just an honor, but a powerful platform to further help and serve others. Thank you, ESPN, for this incredible accolade. - Steve Gleason Steve Gleason will receive the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, Dawn Staley will receive the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service. The 2024 ESPYS will air live on Thursday July 11 at 8 p.m. ET / PT on ABC.

Incredible achievement from Noah Cooper, completing Ironman Coeur d'Alene 70.3! Team Gleason is honored by your commitment to our mission to empower those living with ALS and grateful to have you carry our flag. Awesome Ain't Easy! #teamgleason #als #nowhiteflags
I finished Ironman Coeur d'Alene 70.3 as a fundraiser to help the Team Gleason Foundation improve the lives of ALS patients like my friend Steve Gleason. I was honored to carry Team Gleason's No White Flags logo across the finish line after a 500 meter swim (shortened from 1.2 miles for safety due to some pretty big wind-driven waves on the lake), 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run. While dealing with horrible leg cramps throughout the run, I was able to do it with a smile on my face thinking of Steve's words in his new book, A Life Impossible, about appreciating what you have in the moment--the chance to race for an incredible cause--and not how painfully slow my mile splits were. As Steve would say--my presence in the race was enough and I was so grateful to be in that moment. Thank you, Steve, for inspiring me through another Ironman race. #NoWhiteFlags #AwesomeAintEasy Blair Casey Rian Emmerson Clare Durrett

"I can’t thank Team Gleason enough for installing the elevator on my wheelchair. Their prompt response and all communication with me was very professional. The elevator is amazing. It has enabled me to continue living independently in my home, I can now reach cupboards in the kitchen, the microwave, the freezer and I also use it to use the counter tops. I love being able to raise myself when at the store, on trips to museums, the zoo and other places I visit with friends and family, being the same height as others really helps me feel a little more ‘normal’. My favorite place to go is out to the barn to ride horses. The elevator allows me to be at eye level with the horse making it easier, and more enjoyable, when grooming and spoiling them with lots of attention. I will be forever grateful for the assistance I received; it has been life-changing for me. Team Gleason have been instrumental in allowing me to enjoy my life as much as I can for as long as I can. THANK YOU TEAM GLEASON!" - Julie I., Spring, TX

Providing technology and equipment to families across the US to give individuals back their independence is why we do what we do every single day. 🎉 ⚜️ Giving them the ability to attend Jazz Fest is an extra special bonus! - "My name is Bill. I was diagnosed with ALS in January 2023. Before my diagnosis, I was primarily getting around by walker and/or manual wheelchair. This necessitated frequent help from my caregivers, my daughter and her wife, and a few select friends, which limited me to only a few experiences outside of my home, mainly medical experiences and a weekly Scrabble game with friends. Since receiving a Jazzy Carbon motorized chair from the Team Gleason Foundation, I’ve been able to expand my ability to enjoy restaurants, movie, as well as my weekly Scrabble game. I even attended Jazz Fest this year. In addition, I was able to escort visiting relatives and other guests from out of town around New Orleans to show the wonders of the city. Having this degree more of independence greatly improved my mental health. I am very grateful to the Team Gleason Foundation for providing the Jazzy Carbon wheelchair." #teamgleason #als #nowhiteflags

At Team Gleason, we're dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the ALS community by advocating for accessibility advancements. We understand the everyday challenges faced by those with ALS, and we're committed to bridging that gap. We are excited to see Apple’s latest announcement of its new accessibility features. The ability to use eye-tracking outdoors in sunlight addresses one of the biggest hurdles for the ALS community. Having a solution to this is groundbreaking for those who can only communicate with a speech-generating device. These advancements aren't just about accessibility; they're about empowerment. To learn more about these game-changing features, visit https://lnkd.in/e3wDPGvi #apple #techforall #inclusivity #accessibility
