Understanding the root cause of driver turnover and potential solutions is critical when developing driver retention strategies, and knowing what actions to take to keep existing drivers happy and committed is the foundation of reducing turnover and attracting new talent. In our TS24 survey, driver recognition and rewards programs was the number 1 activity fleet operators were taking to retain drivers, with 54% more operators focusing on this compared with 2023, and with more operators adopting rewards programs to retain drivers, it's starting to become a critical part of retention strategies.
