The Elevate Prize team is officially OOO next week! Inspired by Malala and Malala Fund, we introduced our inaugural wellness week last year to rest and recharge. Our team carefully selected a week in July to collectively take time to ourselves, and the result was truly magical. Anyone who has experienced burnout understands the toll it takes on your body and mind. And those of us in the nonprofit sector know intimately that it’s impossible to fill the cups of others when you feel depleted on a personal level. My own experience with fatigue and exhaustion eventually pushed me to explore deeper mindfulness practices, something that I’ve found to be extremely transformational and impactful throughout my career.

With the walls of Afghanistan as canvases, ArtLords is spreading hope through art. Malala Fund commissioned them to paint a mural in London, alongside Malala and students. And Afghan girls from the ArtLords team in Afghanistan painted the same mural at a school in Kabul.❤️🎨
