Had an incredible time at the United Way of Dane County LINC “Back 2 School Bash”, where volunteers filled 250 backpacks with school supplies and raised money for The Road Home, a local nonprofit committed to helping families with affordable housing and basic needs. A huge shoutout to Brady Kays and Summit Credit Union for hosting this event, Dan Lutz & Hannah Stowell for organizing & facilitating, and all the people who came together to make this happen! You know that saying "It takes a village to raise a child"? Well...it's true. Last night, community members gathered at Summit Credit Union for United Way of Dane County's Back to School Bash. We stuffed 250 backpacks with school supplies for kids in need in Dane County! 👏 💚 Grateful to my Badgerland Girl Scouts coworkers, family and friends who donated loose leaf paper as part of our contribution to this event. It was inspiring to be among like minded people coming together to support The Road Home. We filled backpacks with school supplies for kids so can be ready for school! The United Way of Dane County LINC organized the event and secured numerous supply sponsors. Summit Credit Union hosted the event in their beautiful Cottage Grove location.
