Urenco USA, an Industry Champion Sponsor for the 2024 US Women in Nuclear Conference, was well represented by four UUSA employees, each a member of the WiN Permian Basin Chapter. Attendees enjoyed learning sessions and networking with chapters from across the USA. The US WiN vision is aimed at positioning the United States for the future of nuclear energy and technology through the advancement of women. UUSA hosted a kickoff to summer event on-site, Café Karaoke, on Friday, June 28 with fun giveaways, Free Food for employees, and some great vocal talent on display. In addition, UUSA provided an opportunity for personnel to donate to the Community Foundation of Lincoln County (CFLC), an organization supporting a neighboring community of Ruidoso, New Mexico experiencing devastating wildfires. UUSA pledged to match employee donations dollar for dollar to support the families and their pets/livestock who were forced to evacuate due to the South Fork and Salt Fires that have torn through over 24,000 acres of land. Thanks to the great generosity of personnel, $6,000 was raised and donated to help the Village of Ruidoso. Future Free Food Fridays will have similar opportunities to donate goods and/or funds to support local non-profits and initiatives in our community. #UUSA #COMMUNITY
