We sat down with Robbie Werth today for a fireside chat to celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 34th anniversary. He took us behind the scenes of his entrepreneurial journey with other disability rights advocates who shaped this important civil rights law ensuring all people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. Robbie emphasized ABILITY (not disability) and encouraged us to focus on what people CAN do (not can’t). He also praised our paratransit drivers in DC, MD, VA and across the U.S. for their compassion, skill and focus on safety serving passengers "door to door" on behalf of our customers. From 45 years ago with one van at Diamond Transportation to National Express Transit, now part our family of 5,500 employees at #WeDriveU, Robbie's impact on the community, our company and industry is an inspiration. We can't wait to share more from this segment with WeDriveU team members and all of you. Thank you, Robbie. Here's WeDriveU General Manager Keyshana Jackson wrapping up the week at COMTO's national conference representing the Steering Committee for our Ubuntu employee resource group. Keyshana said, "Going to this event and being around like-minded people who looked like me was very inspiring." Keyshana is a rising star who was recently promoted from Account Manager to GM, and now oversees WeDriveU's team and operation at our Austin, TX Customer Service Center serving strategic customers. She says COMTO was a great experience, adding, "The amount of women in the room was astonishing and gave me reassurance that I'm headed on the right path." As a COMTO member who also shares her passion and drive as part of our Women's Inspiration Network ERG, we couldn't be more proud. Keyshana's favorite COMTO session was on success and succession with Gregory Bradley, J.D.. We thank COMTO Headquarters, COMTO National Office and the volunteers for putting on a great #NMTC24 conference. Like to join our amazing team? https://lnkd.in/eWDSbgHk

Cheering #4! It's a pleasure to collaborate with this passionate group and see the miles we've traveled together raising awareness for private contracting while giving back. Congrats North American Transit Alliance from WeDriveU.
This month marks the four year anniversary since the North American Transit Alliance was created to advocate for the benefits of contracting in public #transit. Recently, the board and management committee met to reflect on the accomplishments of NATA to date and discuss the positive role we can play in the future - both in the industry and in the culture around transportation. In the latest edition of our newsletter, we highlight some of these accomplishments as well as exciting updates including an opportunity to testify before Congress and a new resource for how to begin contracting in transit.

It's an exciting day as Charlotte Area Transit System celebrates 48 years. WeDriveU congratulates CATS, the City of Charlotte, our General Manager Seyi Osiyemi, and the entire team in North Carolina. #HappyAnniversary
Today marks the 48th anniversary of public transit in our region, and to commemorate this tremendous milestone, CATS honors the dedicated men and women who have been behind the wheel since day one! One of these incredible individuals is Brenda Moore, a dedicated bus operator who has proudly served the Charlotte community for an unforgettable 48 years! From the moment she saw a woman driving a bus, Brenda set her sights on the transit industry - a place where she could express kindness to those in her community. Reflecting on her past four decades in public service, Brenda shares, "I hope I leave my passengers and colleagues with the memory of how well I treated them and the love I showed every day." Operators like Brenda - employees who show up daily equipped with respect, empathy, professionalism, and love - are the heartbeat of this organization. Their dedication moves this community forward with every route taken! Read more of Brenda's story at bit.ly/4bjxlNW, and join us in thanking her for her 48 years of exceptional service and the many more to come! 🚍💛

👏 Please join us in congratulating Charlie and spreading the word about this opportunity.
On June 1, I began a new role as Assistant Vice President for Campus Services. It comes with the important job of hiring the next Executive Director for Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) at Princeton University. Inquiries welcome! Here are few things to know about this unique opportunity: - You will manage a highly performing team of emerging leaders in the areas of transportation demand management, parking operations, innovative technology, transit and ADA services, and planning and operations for active modes and shared mobility. - Princeton is completing a major capital program to support the growth of its outstanding undergraduate and graduate student bodies and world-renowned teaching and research communities. You will play a central role working with the Office of Capital Projects, Office of the University Architect, and campus partners to stitch together a comprehensive mobility network so that people of all ages and abilities can move about the campus and thrive. - TPS partners with WeDriveU to provide a robust transit service throughout campus and the surrounding community that is free and open to the public with a fleet of 17, 35-foot electric New Flyer buses. Ridership has grown significantly the last two years, now outpacing pre-Covid levels. You will oversee TigerTransit’s talented management team and long-range planning. - Two major projects that you will lead right away include establishing a centralized fleet management program for the campus, and designing the next generation of Revise Your Ride, Princeton’s nationally recognized commuter benefits program. - You will serve as a senior ambassador to public agencies and elected officials to continue to incorporate the University’s transportation and mobility network into local and regional systems. This includes multijurisdictional bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure projects and capitalizing on rail and bus connections to the highly trafficked Northeast Corridor.
