Phenomenal news for #tigers. There’s been a 250% increase in tiger numbers in Thailand’s Western Forest Complex over a 15-year period. Credit to a massive effort by the Thai government to intensify anti-poaching patrols and monitor rigorously. It’s proof, says Dale Miquelle, a senior tiger conservationist at WCS, that the tiger can be saved “but it takes long-term commitment on focused interventions.
