We're excited to officially introduce our LinkedIn friends to Paola Mejia B.! You've hopefully already seen her around, as she has been hard at work with Yellowdig for a while. Paola has already proven herself as a standout member of team Yellowdig 🙌 Paola Mejia is the Partnership Associate at Yellowdig. Before joining Yellowdig, she was an Academic Specialist for the Latin American Region at a #Cybersecurity and #Education company. In that role, she assisted professors in creating #degrees and #courses in cybersecurity and helped students get certified in the industry. Additionally, she had the opportunity to be a #PublicSpeaking instructor while pursuing her Master’s degree in Communication at North Carolina State University. During her various educational experiences, she was exposed to similar platforms that she found to be somewhat outdated. This experience drew her to Yellowdig, which she believes offers an innovative way of engaging with students and empowering instructors. Paola currently lives in Quito, Ecuador, is bilingual, and has a passion for the education industry. #Ecuador #Welcome #EmployeeSpotlight #LearnTogether

We’re happy to share an update from across our global team from last week’s day of service! We’re grateful to have set off a wave of generosity from the US to South America to India! We're excited to bring awareness to the different organizations and causes our team supported, see a few details below on some of the service projects completed to celebrate Yellowdig’s founding on 7/11 and learn how you can get involved! 🌳In Philly: Several volunteers from Yellowdig removed 20 bags of trash from Tacony Creek Park between the Rorer Street gateway and Ruscomb Street! Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership Inc. https://ttfwatershed.org/ 👕🏳️🌈 In Mobile: Jamie Snow and his partner organized their t-shirt inventory by size and color for Prisim United ~ "Find Community. Pictured below you can see Paola Mejia B. who took food and clothes to those in need in her area! Janeen Galligan and her family also volunteered for Project Angel Heart who has been delivering meals (for free) to homebound people since 1991. https://lnkd.in/eq_cZMz We are inspired by the initiative that Yellowdig’s team members took to find unique ways to make an impact in their local communities! This event left us all reflecting on what more we can do on a daily basis. We’re excited to continue to give back throughout the year in our own unique ways 💛 #YellowdigFoundersDay #YDDayOfService #LearnTogether #ServeTogether #CommunityBuilding #DayofService

How are your learners doing after they leave your institution? Education is much more than a means to an end, but we'd be amiss to ignore the need for higher education to improve #social and #economic outcomes for our learners. In this short blog, Peter Smith explores Carnegie's future changes to their classification and how we can shift our mindset to ensure we're fully meeting the outlined objectives. #economicMobility #SocialMobility #Carnegie #CarnegieClassification #jobs #LearnTogether

Today, we are celebrating the 9th year since our founding with a company-wide day of service. Yellowdig was founded by Shaunak Roy on this day (July 11th) in 2015! As a company dedicated to our communities, we believe it is important to take time to give back as a team. We will have more pictures to come, but this is a preview of our local Philadelphia team that served together to help clean up a section of the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed. We are proud to be a Philly-based company and are happy to do a small part in making our city a cleaner, greener ecosystem. Local to #Philly? Learn more about the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership Inc. and how you can get involved here: https://ttfwatershed.org/ Shoutout to Malcolm Bundy from TTF for helping us to set up this opportunity. Our national and global team are partaking in various other service activities from distributing food to those in need to spending time with senior citizens. We will share updates from across the globe soon! Lots of appreciation to Janeen Galligan for initiating this day and ensuring our team had opportunities! Thank you to Jon Miron and Brianna Piñeiro for coordinating the Philly cleanup and Paola Mejia B. for helping our global team! #YellowdigFoundersDay #YDDayOfService #LearnTogether #ServeTogether #CommunityBuilding #DayofService

Can you relate to Catherine's struggle with great course reviews...except for the discussions 🙃 Catherine knew her graduate students were motivated, and the traditional discussion paradigm was squashing their ability to truly #engage! She shares - "I switched to Yellowdig and was met with an overwhelming positive response from students! I was amazed at the #quality and #depth of discussion in which these students engaged." 🎉 What a powerful transformation Catherine had in her class! And she brought it beyond her class... read her review to find out more! https://lnkd.in/ekhwSVvz You can have a similar transformation - join a demo webinar of Yellowdig Engage - Yellowdig for courses, to learn how. https://lnkd.in/g4-DmZhq #NursingEducation #StudentEngagement #OnlineLearning #LearnTogether
