MIT Media Lab does it again 👏 MIT’s Space Exploration Initiative has since grown to 50+ graduate students, staff, and faculty. Chartering an annual Zero-G parabolic flight for up to 15 projects and 25 researchers, they are making new discoveries and advances in space research every time! We are thrilled to support their ongoing research. 🙌 Check out the full article with info and photos from this year's research. 👉 https://lnkd.in/enHqG33b 📷: Blaga Ditrow MIT Media Lab

"If we are going to succeed in exploring outer space, we can’t afford to leave 15% of the world’s population behind just because they are disabled." — Brenda Williamson Because EVERYONE should enjoy their zero gravity experience the same. 🫶✈️👨🚀 Check out Brenda Williamson's recent research on G-Force One with the team from AstroAccess ⬇️ The goal of this project is making space friendly to people with disabilities, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing. 👏 Brenda's groundbreaking research involves experimenting with her original method of using an automated lighting system to warn when gravity is returning. 💡 "When I was finally confident with its performance during testing, I had about 1,000 lines of code and a plywood-mounted circuit. This system was capable of detecting changes in G-forces and shifting the colors, while also collecting acceleration data for analysis post-flight." — Brenda Williamson Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eM9uAqAf Follow Zero-G and AstroAccess for the scoop on more amazing research flights! 🙌

"The STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) Summer Intern Program is a nationally competitive STEM program for high school students. The program provides selected students with exposure to Earth and Space research. Interns learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work." — NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration 4 students were selected to board G-Force One and conduct research in microgravity with their teachers as well as the director of Wisconsin Space Grant. They were able to fly in zero gravity with their research projects and help further space exploration and advance our knowledge of microgravity conditions. 🙌
