Main responsibilities include partial ownership of accounts payables and accounts receivable. Also responsible for various other tasks in the finance function including backup of other finance team members in all areas of accounting.


Major Responsibilities:


Accounts Payable


  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
  • Preparation of payment runs and manage payment schedules
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and issues


ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE


  • Daily cash receipts and follow up
  • Incoming check scanning and registering
  • A/R collections
  • Daily invoicing
  • Credit insurance handling including credit limit management
  • New customer setup
  • Assist managers, satellite offices and internal employee’s with customer assistance including issue of credit notes.
  • Working with other departments on best practice for customer payment handling


MISCELLANEOUS


  • Company credit card handling
  • Sales/Use tax subject matter expert
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures
  • Support with audits and tax filings
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Finance


Requirements include:


  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience with company bookkeeping is required,
  • Must have sales/use tax knowledge.
