We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a temporary 3-month contract. In this role, you will contribute to building more resilient and sustainable infrastructure by supporting our accounting operations.
#### Key Responsibilities:
Expense Management: Review and approve expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Employee Setup: Set up new employees in NetSuite and Concur.
Reporting: Assist with updating and maintaining expense-related reports.
Credit Card and Expense Coding: Accurately code transactions for credit cards and expense reports.
Accounts Payable: Support the accounts payable process and manage related tasks.
Reconciliation: Help with accounts reconciliation to ensure financial records are accurate.
Record Keeping: File and maintain up-to-date accounting records.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in various administrative and accounting projects as needed.
#### About You:
Role
This is a junior role suited for an Accounting Clerk who can demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following areas:
Educational Background: Degree or diploma, preferably in Accounting or a related field.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. Knowledge of NetSuite and Concur is an asset.
Organizational Skills: Naturally organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple priorities.
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve most problems independently and recognize when to seek help.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Accuracy: Capable of comparing data from various sources for accuracy and completeness.
Team Player: Great team player with a customer service orientation.
Continuous Improvement: Always looking for ways to improve processes and skills.
#### Compensation and Benefits:
This temporary 3-month contract offers a competitive salary, prorated based on an annual range of $41,000 to $53,000, depending on skills, experience, and market location. Temporary employees in this position are eligible for:
4 paid vacation days
5 sick days
Please note that temporary employees are not eligible for our company bonus program, equity offerings, health benefits, or our RRSP program.
