TULA Skincare is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead our Accounting team. You will be responsible for providing quality analysis and strategic thought, ensuring TULA has best in class accounting reporting and processes and helping ensure stewardship across TULA. You should thrive on problem-solving, learning in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating cross-functionally. You will develop a deep understanding of the organization while continuing to build more robust processes as we continue to scale. This role reports to the VP Finance & Accounting and is based remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and provide oversight of Accounting team members
Lead the monthly and annual financial close process, including preparing financial statements, doing some Balance Sheet and other reconciliations as well as reviewing reconciliations done by your team. Ensure accurate inventory reserves. Analyze working capital accounts by supporting valuation and turnover specifically relating to inventory and accounts receivable.
Support all cash-collecting and banking platforms.
Oversee credit card and employee reimbursement platform (Divvy/bill.com)
Partner with IT, Operations, and Netsuite consultants to ensure Netsuite ERP delivers TULA's financial and accounting needs.
Oversee & enable accurate and timely tax filings and payments, including third party who manages sales & use tax filings and payments.
Build and maintain relationships & processes across all functions via consistent communication and analysis.
Provide data and insights to help managers run their departments and make effective decisions, resulting in the ability to deliver consistent results
Source ideas to drive efficiency and improved controls with practical recommendations on how to get to that end state
Serve as main point of contact for audits related to Accounting, Banking and Taxes.
Accountable for all accounting operations including AR, AP, FA, Inventory / Cost Accounting
Qualifications
6 years of accounting experience
Broad experience with the NetSuite ERP system is required
Experience with bill.com is preferred.
Excellent knowledge of SOX, GAAP and financial reporting
People management experience
Possess effective oral and written communication skills
Experience at a consumer products company preferred
Google Sheet skills preferred
Highly organized & detail oriented
Strong time management and planning skills
Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
