Position Summary

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant who will report to the Department Head and manage administrative tasks on behalf of the department to improve overall team efficiency and support the team to achieve business objectives and goals.

This role will include a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in person in our Culver City office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule internal and external meetings
  • Procurement and invoice management
  • Shipment handling of products and equipment
  • Create and document meeting minutes, memorandums, spreadsheets, power point presentation materials
  • Assist product and technology demonstrations including management of complex calendar associated with this activity
  • Guest management and meeting hospitality
  • Travel and lodging arrangements
  • Team calendar management
  • Shared document and filing management
  • Assistance with legal documents and processing
  • Event support (logistics, planning and physical support on site where applicable)
  • Project assistance
  • Expense report handling
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications For Position

Your qualifications and experience should include:

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience preferred
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication manner with all levels of management and external parties
  • Available to be in office minimum 3 days a week, remaining remote
  • Available to start early to support East Coast team members
  • Team player with ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with music production tools and photo/video editing tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in Japanese language is a plus
  • Previous experience working with influential professionals in music and/or entertainment industries a plus

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
