Admission CounselorAngola, IndianaFull-time SummaryThe position is responsible for the development and implementation of a specific inquiry cultivation program. The Admission Counselor works and contributes through a team-oriented approach in the overall planning and operations of the University’s admissions arena including strategic recruitment planning, marketing, and policy/communication development; along with the coordination of specific recruitment-related programs. This position is an on-campus position and will include some weekends and evenings. Other duties as assigned by the Director or Vice President.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inquiry Management: Oversee territory specific inquiry population, guiding them through the admissions funnel to generate pre-awards, visits, applications, and admits.
  • Pre-Award Process and Communication Plans: Support the Pre-Award Process, Group Visit Follow-ups, and Communication Plans for all inquiries.
  • Student Engagement: Participate in prospective student tele-counseling, deliver presentations on the University and financial aid, cover college fair programs, conduct high school visits, and follow up with applicants.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships and execute follow-up activities to align with strategic plans aimed at meeting enrollment goals.
  • Data Analysis: Systematically collect, analyze, and utilize data on the market, prospects, applicants, admitted students, and enrolled students to optimize resource allocation and continually enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Collaboration: Partner with staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs that aim to enroll an academically talented and culturally diverse student body.
  • Marketing Strategy: Develop an annual marketing plan to facilitate the transition of inquiries into applications.
  • Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit necessary reports.
  • Flexibility: Undertake other duties as assigned.
  • Territory Management: Interprets and explains admissions decisions to parents and students. Interprets and explains university programs and policies paying special attention to the identification of appropriate exceptions to normal processes and procedures.
  • Daily Tasks: Applicant file review, upgrades, major changes etc. within the territory.
