What You’ll Do
As our AP Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of payments and recording disbursements made for by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
This position is considered remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate Headquarters based in Stamford, CT. It will offer a remote schedule with the exception of travel required by the Company for occasional meetings and conferences.

What You’ll Do
As our AP Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of payments and recording disbursements made for by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
This position is considered remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate Headquarters based in Stamford, CT. It will offer a remote schedule with the exception of travel required by the Company for occasional meetings and conferences.
- Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and roll forwards; investigate and resolve items in a timely fashion; create new reconciliations for any new inventory payable accounts.
- Prepares monthly inventory forecast to be shared with executive management.
- Processes inventory invoices and conduct weekly analysis on cogs.
- Lead meetings with international suppliers, consultants and business owners to discuss billings and upcoming projects.
- Partner cross functionally with product development, sourcing, and logistics departments to manage international vendor relationships – i.e. compliance, contract terms, pricing, etc.
- Manage the monthly and quarterly production of financial statements and footnotes. This position will be the primary point of contact with external auditors and will be preparing supporting schedules for SEC disclosures in 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings with minimal oversight.
- Assist with the collection of sample data for SOX testing. Maintain SOX documentation for review by management and internal and external auditors.
- Identify and propose process improvements where applicable.
- Maintain a high level of customer service with both internal Associates and external clients.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in Accounting/Finance; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Must have proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment.
- Able to prioritize responsibilities with the appropriate level of urgency, able to listen and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines consistently.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency required in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with an ERP system (i.e. Great Plains, Sage), NetSuite a plus.

- Must be able to travel using various forms of transportation, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, for meetings and conferences held either at our offices or offsite (i.e. quarterly team connection weeks, companywide meetings, vendor visits).
