Apparel Wholesale Sales Director

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage National/Regional Retail Accounts:
- Oversee and manage relationships with national and regional retail accounts.
- Ensure consistent and effective communication with clients to maintain strong business relationships.
- Build and Maintain Relationships with Chain Stores and Discount Stores:
- Develop and nurture relationships with chain stores and discount stores.
- Act as the primary point of contact for these accounts, ensuring their needs are met.
- Seek New Business Opportunities:
- Identify and pursue new opportunities to grow the business within the retail sector.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and trends.
- Create Sales Plans:
- Develop and implement sales plans aimed at meeting financial targets.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic planning and execution.
- Coordinate with the Design Team:
- Work closely with the design team to align on current sales trends and customer needs.
- Provide feedback and insights to help shape product development and marketing strategies.
Requirements:
- Strong Organizational Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Excellent Presentation and Negotiation Skills:
- Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations to clients.
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals and manage contracts.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the retail sector.
- Proven track record of managing and growing retail accounts.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to utilize CRM software and other sales tools effectively.
- Travel:
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
