Assistant Civil Engineer

MJ is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our widely respected and diverse Site/Civil Division in our Upstate New York office locations.

The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, contributing their expertise to a diverse array of projects including project plans and design drawings, grading and drainage design, pavement design, utilities, stormwater design, quantities, specifications, and contract documents.

This position will require some fieldwork travel.

Desired Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Engineering Intern (E.I.) Certification preferred.
• 0-5 years’ experience progressive civil infrastructure design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Hydraulic Design, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team, develop and maintain client relations, meet project demands and schedules.
  
  

Pay Range

The pay range listed in this posting is an approximation and representation of our good faith effort to provide the anticipated salary range. The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to the candidate's work location, relevant experience, educational background, licensure or certifications, and capabilities compared to the requirements of the advertised position.

Pay Range: $32 - $37 / hour depending on experience.
