Job Summary:

We are looking for a driven, early career individual, with a passion for analytics and innovation to join us in turning the largest cardiovascular database in the US into meaningful and impactful insights. As an Associate Data Analyst, your success will be measured by the quality and actionable nature of our analytics deliverables to hospital customers. Your contributions will have the ability to save real patients’ lives and propel egnite to the next state of evolution.


The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in an analytics role, has an eye for detail, and a quantitative and creative mindset. This individual will bring strong communication, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude to help tackle any task, executing on the nuts and bolts of our ‘get it done’ culture. The candidate should know SQL and be prepared to rapidly acquire new analytical and technical skills on the job including Kaplan Meir analysis and data manipulation using python in a big data environment (Databricks).


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Strategic thinking to generate impactful insights that benefit patients and hospitals
  • Development of new analyses using python and SQL and presenting those results internally via PowerPoint Presentation
  • Clear communication of data to our customer reporting team, ensuring they're equipped with the necessary detail to support groundbreaking insights in customer meetings
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends and patterns
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Stay up-to-date with new data analysis techniques and tools
  • Assist in data cleaning, preprocessing, and data wrangling
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify key variables and insights


This role requires privileged access controls for critical systems or data, ensuring that only authorized employees have access to sensitive information to help prevent data breaches and unauthorized access to sensitive information.


Education and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a business or quantitative field – Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Biology, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a data analytics role
  • Experience with SQL and databases required
  • A talent for data driven story-telling and executive message development
  • PowerBi, Databricks, pyspark, and/or R, preferred
  • A passion for making a difference in the world – in our case, helping patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Natural curiosity, eagerness to learning, and willing to self-study to gain expertise in cardiovascular clinical and hospital administration topics
  • Team player excited by the prospect of shared successes in collaboration with our clinical client success team and hospital customers
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Comfortable with statistical concepts
  • Location flexibility within the United States, with occasional travel (up to 5%) to our headquarters in Orange County or to support customer presentations
  • Work authorization in the United States
