Clayton Services is searching for a Bilingual Accountant to join a thriving company in East Houston.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $52,000-$56,000/year

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO

Bilingual Accountant Responsibilities

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Verify discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and resolving issues
  • Prepare and perform check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment-related queries
  • Utilize QuickBooks for data entry and reporting
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliation and account analysis
  • Assist in financial report writing as needed
  • Create POs, enter and match POs with bills. Pay bills.
  • Cut checks and send wires
  • Positive Pay
  • Update various reports
  • Complete intercompany bank transfers to maintain positive balances.
  • Match bank transactions in QuickBooks
  • Complete accounts payable weekly and monthly reports
  • Maintain enough balance in accounts for autopayments.
  • Update inventory costing
  • Complete credit card and bank reconciliations
  • Complete 401K deposits
  • Monthly sales tax payments
  • Quarterly automobile oil fee payments-
  • Other duties as assigned

Bilingual Accountant Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent data entry skills

Bilingual Accountant Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or related fields preferred
  • Proficiency in technical accounting principles
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of public accounting practices is a plus
  • Previous manufacturing industry experience is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
