Job Type Full-time Description Job Overview The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the financial records of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures. This role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports to support the company's financial management. Supervisory Responsibilities None Key Responsibilities Maintain and update accounting records and files Post transactions and categorize records accurately Reconcile bank statements and monthly financial reports Prepare and process invoices for clients and suppliers Monitor accounts payable and receivable Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal controls Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes Support the preparation of tax documents and compliance with regulatory requirements Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping practices and policies Competencies Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Required Skills/Abilities Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) NetSuite experience, preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate calculations Demonstrated ability to develop and refine financial processes Education and Experience Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or related experience Experience with payroll processing and tax filing preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Work Environment Office environment Occasional travel to company locations or client sites may be required.
