Reporting to the Head of Strategic Business Development of a third-party logistics provider founded on the spirit of safe, reliable, on-time delivery.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development of profitable Freight Brokerage business within his or her territory. The primary focus will be on the Healthcare, Pharma, Life Sciences vertical with Highly Valued Customers. Will be responsible for the closing and development of profitable new business and managing the startup process after the sale. Will also coordinate with Managers, Pricing Analysts, and Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. The challenge is to expand account base, supporting profitable increased revenues.
Background Required:
Outside sales / Business Development within transportation/freight brokerage (4+ years)
Service offering (i.e. Freight Brokerage, TL, 3PL)
