What You’ll Do

As a Business Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, streamline workflows, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing our operational efficiency and scalability. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while gaining valuable experience in the fast-paced EdTech industry.

Initially, You Will Focus On Evolving Our Finance And Payment Operations. This Includes Ensuring The Smooth Processing Of Payments, Optimizing Payment Workflows, And Enhancing The Overall Payment Experience For Users On Both Sides Of Our Enrichment Marketplace. Approximately 75% Of Your Time Will Be Spent Building And Managing Systems, And The Remaining 25% Of Your Time Will Be Spent On Tactical Work. In This Job, Your Primary Areas Of Responsibility Will Be

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, sales) to ensure seamless execution on strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement efficient operational processes to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
  • Analyze data and identify key metrics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure smooth procurement and fulfillment.
  • Assist with financial planning and budgeting, collaborating with the finance team.
  • Wear the "operations hat" and tackle any challenge that comes your way, from vendor contracts to travel arrangements.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA qualification is preferred but not required.
  • You have 2-4 years of experience in management consulting or business operations, ideally with exposure to the finance sector or with work on finance/payment products.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable wearing multiple hats.
  • You possess a strong analytical mind and enjoy diving deep into data to identify operational improvements.
  • You have a knack for project management and streamlining processes for maximum efficiency.
  • You're a clear and concise communicator who can collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • The energy and challenges of a startup environment excite you, and you're eager to make a real impact.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • An enthusiasm for children’s enrichment and education and a genuine interest in contributing to the success of our marketplace.
