Job Overview:

Our client is looking for a motivated Buyer to join their procurement team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials and goods to meet the company's operational needs. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and department heads to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions while maintaining high quality standards and timely delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and source suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability criteria.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreement with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and developments to ensure advantageous sourcing decisions.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure availability of materials and supplies.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory turnover and storage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Resolve issues and disputes with suppliers regarding delivery, quality, or pricing.
• Generate and process purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and meet project timelines.
• Analyze pricing proposals and total cost of ownership to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies without compromising quality or delivery.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
