Position Synopsis


Our client is in the consumer products, & wellness, and nutraceutical space that has recently launched their eCommerce platform propelling sizeable growth to their already established wholesale and D2C revenue streams. As the CEO and President of this company you will have team of 50+ under you including a CFO, VP of Sales, Chief People Officer, VP of Digital & Social Media, and VP or Marketing will on your executive council as well as direct reports. When push comes to shove you will lead day-to-day leadership as you implement well thought out plans for infrastructure build out of processes and personnel.


In conjunction with President and equity sponsor your gravitas will accommodate the company's vision, mission and objectives. Constantly encouraging employees to reach new heights by leading by example and celebrating small and large wins.


Job Duties

  • Continue to execute the company’s well defined strategic plan around mission and objectives, promoting revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
  • Oversee the company's sales, marketing, operations, finance, and HR ensuring the execution of the strategic plan through the management of day-to-day sales growth and organizational performance.
  • Effectively work with our marketing and sales team as this could involve contract negotiations, enterprise sales meetings, other imperative revenue generating events, and constantly keeping an eye on growth.
  • Alongside your team of Executives and Directors brainstorm, collaborate, and work with your tenured team to execute numerous growth marketing initiatives to help drive business growth and learning. This will include paid media, organic, affiliate, and retention marketing.
  • Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the ownership group which includes periodic meetings, social events, and open communication about the accurate measurement around financial and operational excellence meeting performance and other stated goals.
  • Establish and promote a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates overachieves and top-grade personnel.
  • Regulatory Compliance around certain compliance and legal requirements in the nutraceutical, food, and beverage industries.
  • Foster a strong relationship with your VP of Operations who oversees aspects of supply chain, logistics, strategy, inventory planning, operational data integrity, purchasing, and procurement.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the fulfillment center, providing organizational excellence, and build a work environment that draws people to the team.
  • Working with Chief Product Officer on creation of overall product strategy for the company, including vision, principles, and execution.
  • Drive positive transformation in operational aspects of the business and build a best in class, data-driven group that supports deep analysis of the business, inventory planning and accommodates the organization’s future growth
  • Ensure accurate inventory data across all systems including ERP, 3PL portals, Shopify, AWS, and other online portals.
  • Implement a continuous improvement think tank amongst the executives to find time and delivery efficiencies to better serve customer’s needs.
  • Work closely with head of technology to build profitability dealer analysis P&L’s that produce dynamic scorecards based on bestselling products, quickest moving SKUs, and inventory turnover ratios.


Qualifications:


  • Experience in consumer goods, CPG, direct to consumer, nutraceutical, health and wellness products, apparel, wholesale, Big Box Retail, or eCommerce.
  • Someone who can resolve conflicts and create solutions, as well as an excellent communicator
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, develop, and lead a team; A leader who values teamwork, excellence, authenticity, accountability, integrity and commitment to the organizational values
  • Working in environments that have utilized Shopify, AWS, Big Commerce, Avalara, NetSuite, or Intacct all deemed a plus
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of successful finance and operations strategies and systems to assure tight controls and sound financial reporting, business planning, and forecasting
